To be fair, the points are done by a sweet ole 75-year-old lady who relies on schools to report scores, which they don't always do, and she has to track 400+ teams up and down the east coast, privates, and independents to do the points for the entire commonwealth. I only need to track 45 teams to do C/D. It's hard enough for me to find a Lewis/Mount Vernon score on a Friday night because people just don't post scores. It's a manual labor of love and mistakes are bound to be made.

Never mean to disparage anyone, this is in fact hard to get perfect. So much so that I will admit that I had been doing this for a few years and always missed something, usually an obscure score posted by an untrusted source. Then saw your posts, and they are always correct. So, I decided I would wait till you posted. Also, no one is going to use week 5 power points to scout potential opponents for the playoffs. And yes, getting scores is next to impossible, even in the internet age.

If the VHSL made districts by enrollment size, put two to four districts per region, took the top four in each district (in a two district per region setup) or the top two in each district (in a four district per region setup), and actually make district titles matter, they wouldn't have to worry about the points system.

springer76, from the VHSL home page select "Athletics", "Fall", "Football". That takes you to the football home page and you will see red and orange buttons on the right side of the page for all of that stuff. The information then opens in Google docs.

I have never tried on the phone (showing my age) - it might work differently? With a smaller screen on a phone there are most likely different pathways but the information will still be there.

They would be co-champs for the district. No bearing on football playoffs seeding since the playoffs are based on power points. For other sports, for instance basketball, there are tie breakers in place to determine who, in this case, would get #1, #2, and #3 for the District tournament.
