Salem played a good game. It was ugly, but I think that two very good defenses made it look that way.

Bird only threw 5 passes.

It looked like Bird encroached on 4th and 2, but....

The penalty was delay of game on Salem. Then Salem hits a 30 yard pass. 1st and goal at 7.

Bird won it with a sack. 21-13.

It was not the prettiest game I ever saw, Bird felt like the better team, but Bird kept making enough mistakes and Salem kept making enough plays to keep it close, but in the end, Salem's mistake, the interception that set up Bird's last score, was the difference.

I'd probably make Tuscarora the favorites next week, but Bird has done pretty well in their "down" season this year.
