Boo Williams' travel teams at the 17-and-Under as well as 16-and-Under levels hit the road to Kentucky for Nike EYBL play on Friday with one squad prevailing and the other coming up on the short end of things.

The 16U squad pushed its record to 5-1 this spring with an 81-64 victory over Wisconsin Playground in Louisville. Leading the way was Norcom Class of 2017 swingman K.J. Davis, who poured in a game-high 26 points on 11-of-14 shooting, including 4-of-7 from long distance.

To complement Davis, Cape Henry guard Malik Marrow added 13 points, was a perfect 9-of-9 from the foul line and handed out seven assists. North Carolina native Jordan Riley, a football prospect, chipped in 12 points. Davis' Norcom teammate, Travis Ingram, had 10 points on 5-of-8 shooting and grabbed five rebounds.

As for Boo's 17U bunch, they were not as fortune, falling in Lexington to CIA Bounce by a count of 70-59. CIA Bounce led by 11 at the half.

Edward Ekiyor scored 18 points and Christien Gould added 17 to lead the way for CIA Bounce. For BWSL, which fell to 2-3 overall in EYBL play, they got 15 points from Curtis Jones, a former standout at Highland Springs and Paul VI before transferring to Huntington Prep in West Virginia this past season. He was 3-of-8 from long distance.

BWSL also saw Blue Ridge's Scott Spencer, a former Nansemond River product, and DeShawn Corprew, who once played at both Cox and Princess Anne before spending last season at Quality Education in North Carolina, score 11 points apiece. Corprew fouled out.
