Class of 2016 defensive end Christian Brooks from Centreville High School has made his college commitment as the 6-foot-5, 235-pounder verballed to the University of Virginia Cavaliers on Saturday.
The Wildcats' big man was a starter on the program's 2013 state championship game as a sophomore and, despite missing time due to injury as a junior, was back in time to help Centreville make a run to their 2014 state title game where they fell in overtime.
Brooks also held offers from Cal, N.C. State, Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest, among several others.
