WEEK 4 PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Desmond Claiborne (KING WILLIAM) 20 carries 283 yards 6 touchdowns

Adam Smith (MIDDLESEX) 29 carries 165 yards 4 touchdowns

Its another huge week of football as the normally quiet towns will be filled with the buzz of winning and excitement! Peanut country starts their district play along with a few others. And several teams look to come back from last week's major mishaps.

KING & QUEEN (4-0) at MIDDLESEX (4-0)

The Chargers are off to their best start since 1993 and the Royal Tigers are off to their best start since 1990! Friday night the atmosphere is expected to be electric as the two programs are at the beginning stages of something more special to come! King & Queen is producing on offense more scoring in 4 years than several seasons combined! Middlesex is on track to have the best defense in decades! Yes, things are going very well for both programs but some will have to have the rebound discussion later Friday night.

The home squad Middlesex Chargers have been solid defensively. Coach William Jarvis group have recorded 3 straight shutouts and now face their biggest test of the season. Middlesex has good offense to compliment their defense. Running back Adam Smith is the fuel of the offense and a threat to score whenever he has his hands on the ball. And Smith is a workhorse getting nearly 30 touches a game. Quarterback Matthew Hart is also a threat on the ground game and will need to keep the offense in high gear Friday night.

King & Queen has been lighting it up on offense led by freshman quarterback Malik Holmes. Holmes has the smarts and skills to lead the Royal Tiger offense. He has several big play receivers in Kam Berry, Tyquan Speight, and DeAndre Hill to name a few. Charles Mills is the powerful back that can break the long one at any moment. Coach Kenny Waters has his team and community believing as the Royal Tigers look forward to turning the corner in steps to being a consistent winner.

KEYS TO THE GAME
King & Queen must be able to keep a balance attack and keeping the Chargers on their heels. Finding what the Chargers have trouble stopping early will be key in such an exciting atmosphere. Being posed to make big plays on the road will show the true measure of these Tigers.

Middlesex must test the freshman quarterback with different looks and rushing him to make decisions a lot faster than any of the previous contest. The Chargers must continue their patient attack and feed Smith the ball. If the Chargers can disrupt the offensive production then they can prevent a shootout.

BOTTOMLINE King & Queen has been strong versus the run but stopping the pass has been tough. Middlesex will be tempted too much to go deep but if they don't connect and have several 3rd and longs then look for a hole dug too deep to climb out of.

PREDICTION: King & Queen 28 Middlesex 20

COLONIAL BEACH (2-1) at RIVERHEADS (3-0)

The Drifters will try to slow down the Red Storm train powered by running backs Zac Smiley and Trevor Roberts. Colonial Beach won't have to worry about a shootout this week as the Gladiator defense just might be the best Riverheads has put together.

PREDICTION: Riverheads 45 Colonial Beach 6

WASHINGTON & LEE (2-1) at KING WILLIAM (4-0)

One thing for sure the Eagles will be battle tested going into Northern Neck district play as they travel to face the explosive King William Cavaliers. Running back LJ Kelly of the Eagles will try to propel his squad over Cav's featuring their leading rusher Desmond Claiborne.

PREDICTION: King William 36 Washington & Lee 12
