Kendal Blue will be a threat to take it to the house with each touch for the Eagles.

GREENSVILLE CO. (5-2) at FRANKLIN (2-5)

The Broncos are better than what their record may indicate but they didn't prove that last week on the road at Sussex. Now they face a loaded but young Greensville squad who will be looking to make some noise come playoff time. The Eagles are currently tied with Nottoway in the ratings but the Cougars get the tie breaker with the head to head victory. A little help from Central Lunenburg could give the Eagles an opportunity to have a home playoff game.

That maybe wishful thinking as this game is a trap game for the Eagles. Franklin will be fully loaded and ready to give it all they have to capture the win. Tyvon Carr is the powerhouse back that will need to get more carries in this one in order to keep Broncos in the game. Quarterback Myroen Barrett will need to get himself and Kendall Hines-Eley on the same page early and often if they want to stay in striking distance. LaSean Nichols-Porter will need to be electric offensively early to keep the Broncos believing. Franklin is in need of a spark and the Bronco faithful will be hoping coach Karl Robertson has the answer this week.

Greensville needs no spark as they come with plenty of offensive firepower. The Eagles are balanced offensively and they are improving on defense daily. Quarterback Jayden White won't give Franklin a lot of worries with his legs but his arm though will. The backs for the Eagles will provide enough defensive stress with Kendel Blue, Kemory Sykes, and De'Jon Harris. Blue is the speedster who will turn on the jets with any spacing. Sykes can pound the interior of a defense a part. Of course the Eagles can fly and their favorite target to go up top is Zykeem Fields who can take it the distance on the most basic touch.

Quarterback Jayden White will have to make quicker decisions.

KEYS TO THE GAME: Franklin must control the time of possession battle. If they give Greensville too many possessions then it will be a shootout in which they are not ready for.

The Eagles must stretch the Broncos out earlier by going deep to their top receiver. By doing this Greensville will have a shot to end it early.

BOTTOMLINE: Franklin won't get many second chances on mistakes in this one. QB pressure early and often can open some opportunities to help hang in there but that won't be for long.

PREDICTION: GREENSVILLE CO. 42 FRANKLIN 20

BENEDICTINE (6-2) at KING WILLIAM (5-2)

The Cavaliers are looking to get ready to make a playoff run. Coach Dylan DeHart bunch will all need to step up as Benedictine will have all eyes on the explosive Desmond Claiborne. Lance Alfonso is ready to distribute the ball and that he must do as Benedictine will be putting up the points forcing the Cavs to have to answer quickly and consistently.

PREDICTION: KING WILLIAM 36 BENEDICTINE 35

THOMAS JEFFERSON (6-1) at GRETNA (5-2)

Coach PJ Adams has the Vikings thinking championship and are currently the top team in 2A. They travel out west to face one of the top 2C teams in the Gretna Hawks. Quarterback Jaylen Tyler will need to continue his solid production in a very passionate environment and will need Jaylen Jones among others to make some big plays to quiet the crowd down.

PREDICTION: THOMAS JEFFERSON 38 GRETNA 20

WASHINGTON & LEE (5-2) at RAPPAHANNOCK (5-2)

The Eagles took it to the preseason pick Raiders in their first match up and now Rappahannock will be looking to even the score. Washington & Lee's rushing attack is stronger but should have a little more difficulty this time around. Look for the Raiders to do a better job containing LJ Kelly.

PREDICTION: WASHINGTON & LEE 28 RAPPAHANNOCK 22
