Here are a few snippets and scores of the great action in our area! It only gets bigger going forward!

KING WILLIAM 36 ESSEX 12

Essex had to avoid turnovers in order to stay with the Cavaliers. Unfortunately, a turnover got things started for a rough afternoon. Tre Robinson would scoop up a Trojan fumble and rumble 23 yards for the score to give King William a 6-0 lead in the 1st. Then the Cavalier's Desmond Claiborne would break a 45 yard touchdown run and getting the two-point conversion making it 14-0. Essex would respond and it would be the closest they would get as Ashton Ashlock would find Takeyo Day for a 43 yard touchdown pass. 14-6, as the conversion would be no good. That pass ignited King William quarterback Lance Alfonso as he would throw 2 daggers both to Claiborne from 52 yards and 59 yards. King William would have a 29-6 halftime lead as each would add a score in the second half. Claiborne finished with 12 carries for 129 yards and 4 catches for 115 yards and 3 touchdowns. King William will host Caroline on Friday as Essex makes their long awaited trip to Franklin.
