Fuqua senior Brad Davis proved that small school players can earned D1 scholarships after he signed a Letter of Intent to play college football.
The All-State offensive lineman is headed to Virginia Military Institute. Davis had received offers from Sacred Heart, Davidson, and Marist while William and Mary showed a lot of interest.
"It was the excitement building around the program with the new staff, the school tradition, and the opportunities afterwards are all reasons I fell in love. Coach Wachenheim has set out to make history at VMI, and that's what we plan to do."
Davis had an official visit in December and he says that he and his family really enjoyed the visit. "It's only two hours away so they can easily come to all the home games."
