East Coast Fusion LEMCKE (U17) had some strong performances during the 2010 AAU basketball season.

The squad played in four events in July, Adidas Invitational, Morgantown Jam Fest, Adidas Super 64 and the Metro Classic KC Prep Invitational.

Adidas Invitational (Indianapolis) - The team advanced to the semifinals of the Gold Bracket after losing to the Florida Rams in the second round of the Championship Bracket. The team had big wins against Full Package (IL), Florida Assault, Riverside Hawks (NYC). Cameron Anderson was a man among boys at this event, his top games included; 27/15, 16/10, 19/12, 14/14. By the end of the event there were high majors watching to see what he'd do next. Trey Davis also had several big games, scoring in a bunch of different ways (three, transition, attacking the basket, getting to the foul line). Jerome Hairston was the floor general who facilitated the action and then stepped up to score when he had to. He had several games where he flirted with triple doubles; 14/8/5, 19/7/7 and 16/8/8 (points, rebounds, assists). Ben Dickinson created mismatches for opponents throughout the event with his ability to stretch the defense with his three and then bang on the inside for buckets and freebies from the line. Ethan Layer had stretches where he put up big points in a hurry with his ability from the three point line. He was 16/24 from three for the tournament.

Morgantown Jam Fest (WVU campus) - The team advanced to the quarterfinals of the Silver Bracket, losing to the eventual champ (Buckeye Ballers) who featured Kenny Kaminski (Michigan State commit). The team had a big win against All-Ohio and a buzzer-loser to Philly Assault. This was a coming out tournament for Andre Washington where he started showing his confidence on both ends of the floor. He had games of 6/6/5, 8/9/4 and 4/7/7 (points, rebounds, blocks) and was drawing a good size crowd by the end. Cameron continued playing well, a double-double machine. Kodie Critzer had two very good games; hitting threes, getting to the rim a getting timely steals on the defensive end. Evan Jackson had a couple of strong efforts, especially on the defensive end. He was a defensive constant throughout the summer. Jerome and Trey were consistent with their effort and productivity.

Adidas Super 64 (Las Vegas) - The team advanced to the quarterfinals of the Championship Bracket (2nd Place Pool Play finishers) before losing to Team Arkansas in a controversial game. Cameron Anderson had a tip-in in the closing seconds that was called goal-tending which would have been the game-tying bucket. Isaac Stewart-Silver had his best tournament, including two good performances; 25/6/4 and a 12/5/3 (points, rebounds, assists). Andre Washington hurt himself halfway through the tournament, but was continuing his breakout summer before twisting his ankle. Jerome Hairston had several big games, showing an ability to score with the best of them in the halfcourt and transition.

Metro Sports KC Prep Invitational (Kansas City) - The most talented tournament of the summer was this 16-team event put on by scout Tom Tietze. Unfortunately, all of the teams playing were worn out by this point. The teams included; Kansas City Pump-n-Run, Michigan Hurricanes (Bob Gibbons TOC runner-up), Wisconsin Playmakers (Virginia-commit Paul Jesperson), Meanstreets (Kentucky commit Anthony Davis), St. Louis Eagles (Peach Jam runner-up, Ben McLemore, Bradley Beal) and others. Fusion made it to the quarterfinals of the event before losing to Pump-n-Run in a great game. Trey Davis was dominate throughout the event, scoring in a variety of ways and using his size/strength to get the job done. Jerome was very strong at the point, steady throughout. Cameron continued impressing those in attendance. Andre Washington really made an impression on the coaches evaluating the event. His offensive game continued to gain confidence and he was always a force on the defensive end.
