Game 1: Boo Williams 16's Rally for OT Win:
While their 17-and-Under team did not qualify for the Nike EYBL Peach Jam for the first time ever, the Boo Williams 16-and-Under squad began play in the Sweet 16 on Wednesday night at the Riverview Park Activities Center in North Augusta, South Carolina, pulling out a thrilling 80-74 overtime victory over the New Jersey Playaz.

Nine different players scored for BWSL Chiz, led by Norcom Class of 2017 swingman K.J. Davis' 18 points. The 6-foot-6 Davis, who pulled in an offer at the end of June from Old Dominion, was 5-of-12 from the field and 7-for-8 from the foul line to go with eight rebounds and two steals.

Another Class of 2017 sharp shooter, Hampton's Marquis Godwin, had 16 points on 5-of-15 shooting, 3-for-10 from three-point territory, and grabbed six rebounds.

A difference maker in the second half was 2017 point guard Malik Marrow out of Cape Henry. Marrow finished with 15 points - converting on 5-of-11 from the field and 5-for-7 at the foul line - plus handed out assists. He also had two of the team's five blocked shots on the night.

Davis' Norcom teammate, guard Travis Ingram, chipped in nine points on 4-of-5 shooting. Jordon Riley, a four-star football recruit from North Carolina who's committed to Tennessee in that sport, also had nine points.

Boo Williams' 16U bunch - which trailed by 10 at the half in their Peach Jam opener - looks to go to 2-0 when they take on Team CP3 out of North Carolina in a Thursday matchup scheduled for 1:30 PM EST. Team CP3 lost its Peach Jam opener, 80-65 to Arkansas Wings.

Game 2: CP3 Too Much for BWSL
Boo Williams' 16-and-Under travel team rallied from 10 down at the half to force OT and win their opener at Peach Jam in the EYBL on Wednesday. They couldn't replicate that performance in a Thursday afternoon matchup against Team CP3 out of North Carolina, digging too deep of a hole to climb out of as they trailed by 27 at the half in an 87-66 loss.

Team CP3 got 20 points apiece from Lavar Batts and Michael Hueitt. Batts also handed out eight assists and Team CP3 claimed a 33-21 advantage on the backboards.

While Boo's squad shot 8-of-19 from long distance, their top two perimeter threats, K.J. Davis and Marquis Godwin, combined for just 14 points on 2-of-12 shooting from beyond the arc. They combined for 34 points and 14 boards with four treys in the previous outing.

Supplying most of the scoring for BWSL Chiz was Jayden Nixon, a 6-foot-3 shooting guard from the Class of 2017 out of Charlottesville's St. Anne's-Belfield. Nixon had 24 points on 7-of-13 from the field, 4-of-7 from three-point land.

Norcom's Travis Ingram had 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting and grabbed six rebounds. Green Run's Deshaun Wade chipped in eight points off the bench.

One game remains for Boo Williams' 16U squad in pool play and that comes on Friday at 1:30 PM EST against Arkansas Wings, which brings in a 2-0 record.

Game 3: Wade's World - Another OT Nail-Biter for BWSL
Boo Williams' 16-and-Under AAU team moved its record to 2-1 on Friday at the prestigious Peach Jam in the EYBL by holding off Arkansas Wings, 77-74 in overtime. It marked their second overtime win of the event.

Coming through clutch in OT was Green Run Class of 2017 guard Deshaun Wade. A 2nd Team All-State selection as a sophomore, Wade scored all eight of his points in the extra session - including a lay-up that put them up one and a three-pointer that extended the lead to seven with 1:50 to play - and had an assist to Omar Habwe.

BWSL Chiz used an 11-1 run late in the first half to break open a close game. They led 34-24 at intermission. Their advantage would swell to as many as 13 on a stick-back slam from 6-foot-11 center Dajour Dickens. However, Arkansas Wings slowly but surely chipped away and did so behind the tandem of Casey Benton and Daniel Gafford.

Benton and Gafford combined for 25 points with Gafford yanking down 17 rebounds. Foul trouble would eventually catch up to BWSL - 27 personals total and three players fouling out - as the lead eventually evaporated with under a minute left in regulation. Both teams had a chance to win it in the final 30 seconds, but each misfired on their final attempts.

Helping BWSL jump out to such a big lead were Dickens and Cape Henry Class of 2017 point guard Malik Marrow. On 7-of-13 shooting from the field and 5-for-6 at the foul line, Marrow scored 21 points to go with eight rebounds and five assists before fouling out. Dickens, who's rated in the Top 100 by Rivals.com in the Class of 2017, was inserted into the starting lineup and that move paid dividends with him tallying 11 points, five rebounds and a pair of blocks before he fouled out.

Also fouling out was K.J. Davis, who struggled through a 2-for-16 shooting effort and had just six points, but did collect 11 rebounds and helped along with his Norcom teammate Travis Ingram (7Pts. 8Reb. 4Ast.) in giving BWSL a much-needed 51-43 advantage on the backboards. The team's other main perimeter shooting threat, Hampton's Marquis Godwin, managed 11 points on just 4-of-14 from the field, though did hit two crucial foul shots with 11 seconds left in OT to push Arkansas Wings' deficit to five.

Habwe, a 6-foot-4 wing from St. James in Maryland, added nine points, going 7-of-9 at the charity stripe, and five rebounds. He picked up his first offer from VMI earlier this month.

Out of Pool B, there was a three-way tie atop with Boo Williams, Team CP3 and Arkansas Wings all finishing 2-1. By virtue of scoring differential, Team CP3 and Arkansas Wings moved on to Saturday's quarterfinals of the 16-and-Under Tournament at Peach Jam.

Game 4: Boo Williams Drops Consolation, Concludes Peach Jam at 2-2

Closing out their stay in North Augusta, South Carolina at the prestigious Peach Jam as part of the Elite Youth Basketball League, the Boo Williams' 16-and-Under AAU travel team fell to Mac Irvin Fire, 73-64 on Saturday afternoon in a consolation matchup to finish 2-2 overall.

Mac Irvin Fire, which came in 0-3 at Peach Jam, got strong performances from Christian Negron and Malik Bins.

Down as many as 14 points in the second half, BWSL pulled within six with 2:10 remaining, but would get no closer.

College coaches from Connecticut, DePaul, Georgia, Illinois, Old Dominion and Xavier among others took in the game.

More to come... stay tuned.
