Let's get this board talking...

Today the VHSL released their ratings and not much changed overall...

#1 Colonial Forge 33.5
#2 Manchester 33.1
#3 Thomas Dale 27.5
#4 Cosby 25.7
#5 Clover Hill 24.5
#6 Franklin 22.4
#7 Riverbend 21.1

Odd man out is James River with a 19.2 rating.

If the playoffs started this weekend it would look like this...

#7 Riverbend at #2 Manchester(rematch of earlier game)
#6 Franklin at #3 Thomas Dale(met last year)
#5 Clover Hill at #4 Cosby(rematch of earlier game)

Who do you like in Region 6B currently? Will the third time be the charm for the Manchester Lancers to get past Colonial Forge or do they get heartbroken again?

FORGE Baby!!!

Manchester looked good enough to be challenging for the top spot in the 6 South Regional when I saw them in VaBeach vs Ocean Lakes (scrimmage). But their inexperience in playing really tough games likely cost them vs C. Forge last year. Even with their transfers, that next level of intensity can prove to be the biggest hurdle.

This year, I'll expect a much closer game but I honestly like the experience of C. Forge vs the Lance's talent. I think Forge plays a tougher schedule & that prepares them better in the playoffs.

I don't think VHSL-Reference has updated the ratings after the games last weekend. Most teams should have played 7 games by now; yet the ratings show that most teams have played 6 games. Westfield and Stone Bridge are 7-0 as of this week, not 6-0.
