It's crunch time. Just two weeks left in the regular season, and it's time for that final push towards the playoffs. Here's what's happening in the Southside Region on Friday.

Central Lunenburg - Nottoway

The game of the week, both of these squads combine for a 13-3 record, with Nottoway at 7-1. NHS' defense has been stellar as of late, giving up just 41 points over its seven-game winning streak. Lunenburg lost to Buckingham and Goochland and really needs that signature, respecting-earning win. Is this it? Expect a low scoring game with a big defensive play turning the tide.

NHS 35, CLHS 28

George Washington 35, Tunstall 14
Another tasty matchup, GW is undefeated and hasn't won by less than 17, blowing everyone out. Tunstall is tough though and wants to improve its playoff position, which it has done with three straight wins. There is no reason to believe George Washington will lose this game, they won't, but it will be closer than some think.

Altavista 35, Rustburg 0
Sure, this one won't be close, but any chance you can see Juan Thornhill, you gotta. Altavista is riding high at 8-0 and surely knows the playoffs are coming, but this team doesn't take it easy. Expect another display of domination.

Bluestone 21, Amelia 7
Goochland 55, Prince Edward 14
Appomattox 34, Nelson 6
Martinsville 35, Bassett 12
Buckingham 28, Cumberland 7
Chatham 21, William Campbell 14
Dan River 41, Gretna 12
Halifax 21, Franklin 9
Magna Vista 41, Patrick County 21
