Altavista QB Juan Thornhill
This UVa commit is a consistent member of the Player of the Week gallery for the Southside Region. Thornhill had another great game last week in the 38-0 pounding of Gretna, recording four touchdowns to move his team to 5-0 on the season.
Appomattox RB Phillip Fleshman
In the 34-16 win against William Campbell, Fleshman was a big reason why AHS was able to move to 3-3 on the campaign. He rushed the ball for 125 yards on just 10 carries, including a gamebreaking 85-yard touchdown run in the fourth.
Buckingham QB Leon Ragland
In the 61-9 win over Randolph-Henry, the pacey back carried the ball 16 times for 175 yards and two scores, carrying his season total rushing yards to 655 in the process. He, along with his backs, are averaging 8.3 yards per carry on the season.
