Unity Reed prevailed over Westfield 25-14 in a penalty and mistake filled game. Unity Reed was able to move the ball much better than Westfield and that allowed them to overcome double digit penalties and three turnovers to get the win.

WF started the game on their own 17 yard line and ended up punting. UR's Campbell blocked Mattfeld's punt and UR took over on the WF 16 yard line. UR QB Moore soon found Campbell on a 14 yard pass and UR jumped in front, 7-0 (Velaquez XP), with 7:52 left in the first quarter. WF then took the next possession at their 17 yard line again, this time reaching their 38 yard line before another Mattfeld punt was blocked by UR's Gibson and picked up by UR's Eller who advanced the ball to the WF 15 yard line. WF's Anderson stopped this drive when he wrestled the ball away from a UR receiver in the end zone and returned the ball to the WF 30 yard line. WF did not keep the ball long, as a Jenks pass to Murphy popped into the air and landed in the hands of UR's Gibson who returned it 42 yards for a pick six. After WF's Walker blocked Velazquez's XP attempt UR extended their lead to 13-0 with 18 seconds left in the quarter. WF's Keys took the short kick off and returned it to the WF 44 to give WF good field position, but WF went three and out to give UR the ball deep in their end at the UR 7 yard line. UR went three and out and WF's Morin returned the punt to the UR 29 to give WF a short field and a chance to cut into the lead. WF would score on a 1 yard Jenks run to cut the lead to 13-7 (Mattfeld XP) with 8:21 remaining in the half. UR failed to field the ensuing kick off and WF's Murphy recovered the kick at the UR 32 yard line. Jenks scored again on a 1 yard run on this drive and WF led, 14-13 (Mattfeld XP) with 4:24 to play in the half. UR started their next drive on their 35 yard line after the kick went out of bounds, and after a few plays Moore found Gibson for a 24 yard gain on 3rd and 20 to get to the WF 30 yard line. Moore later hit Campbell in a 17 yard pass, but the 2XP pass attempt was incomplete and UR regained the lead, 19-14, with 54 seconds left in the first half. WF then ran out the clock.

UR took the second half kick off at their 22 yard line, but WF's Morin intercepted Moore at the UR 44 yard line. WF soon faced a 4th and 13 at the UR 26 yard line, but the Jenks to Murphy pass was a yard short and UR took over on their own 15 yard line. UR's Moore found Davis down the home sideline a few plays later for a 54 yard gain, then after several more plays Moore found Gibson alone along the visitor sideline and UR scored on a 15 yard passing TD to extend the lead to 25-14 (2XP run failed) with 4:34 remaining in the third quarter. WF went three and out to give UR another possession starting on the UR 37 before the 3rd quarter ended. Just after the start of the 4th quarter a UR 4th and 13 attempt at the WF 16 fell incomplete. WF needed a score on the next drive to have any chance of winning the game, but only gained one first down before punting. UR took over on their own 29 with about 7-8 minutes left in the game and went to the running game to eat the clock, which they were successful in doing as they reached the WF two yard line where they were stopped on consecutive plays as time ran out.
