Week 11 is the final week of our regular season, so there has been a lot more clarity in everyone's playoff situation. The VISAA provides the possible playoff scenarios (updated).
DIVISION IV
Fuqua and Roanoke Catholic have clinched first-round home games in Week 12, but which will be #1 and which will be #2 depends on several games.
Fuqua clinches the #1 seed, locking Roanoke Catholic at #2 IF:
1a.) Fuqua DEFEATS Broadwater OR
1b.) Kenston Forest DEFEATS OR TIES Roanoke Catholic OR
1c.) Brunswick DEFEATS Massanutten Military OR
1d.) Fishburne Military DEFEATS Covenant OR
1e.) Hampton Roads DEFEATS Nansemond-Suffolk OR
1f.) Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot DEFEATS Trinity Episcopal OR
1g.) Chincoteague HS DEFEATS Greenbrier Christian OR
1h.) Bath County HS DEFEATS OR TIES Parry McCluer HS
If any of the above results happen, Fuqua will be out of Roanoke Catholic's reach, even if all the other results go Catholic's way.
Roanoke Catholic clinches the #1 seed, moving Fuqua to #2 IF:
1.) Roanoke Catholic DEFEATS Kenston Forest AND
2.) Broadwater DEFEATS OR TIES Fuqua AND
3.) Massanutten Military DEFEATS OR TIES Brunswick Academy AND
4.) Covenant DEFEATS OR TIES Fishburne Military AND
5.) Nansemond-Suffolk DEFEATS OR TIES Hampton Roads AND
6.) Trinity Episcopal DEFEATS OR TIES Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot AND
7.) Greenbrier Christian DEFEATS OR TIES Chincoteague HS AND
8.) Parry McCluer HS DEFEATS Bath County HS
In the scenario where all those results happen, Fuqua and Roanoke Catholic would finish tied with a rating of 7.60 and Roanoke Catholic would win the tie by having beaten Fuqua in Week 9. Catholic needs ALL of the above results to go their way for this scenario to hold.
Broadwater, Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Isle of Wight, and Kenston Forest are still in the hunt for the other two spots. Here are the scenarios for Broadwater, BSH, Isle of Wight, and Kenston:
Broadwater clinches the #3 seed IF:
1.) Broadwater DEFEATS Fuqua AND
2.) Trinity Episcopal DEFEATS OR TIES Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot AND
3.) Massanutten Military DEFEATS OR TIES Brunswick
If Broadwater loses to or ties with Fuqua, they could still make the playoffs IF:
1.) Trinity Episcopal DEFEATS OR TIES Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot AND
2.) Norfolk Academy DEFEATS OR TIES Bishop Sullivan AND
3.) St. Anne's-Belfield DEFEATS OR TIES Blue Ridge AND
4.) Massanutten Military DEFEATS OR TIES Brunswick
Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot clinches the #3 seed IF:
1.) Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot DEFEATS Trinity Episcopal AND
2a.) Fuqua DEFEATS OR TIES Broadwater OR
2b.) Brunswick DEFEATS Massanutten Military OR
2c.) Bishop Sullivan DEFEATS Norfolk Academy OR
2d.) Blue Ridge DEFEATS St. Anne's-Belfield OR
2e.) Kenston Forest DEFEATS Roanoke Catholic
If BSH loses to or ties with Trinity, BSH could still clinch a spot in the playoffs IF:
1.) Blue Ridge DEFEATS St. Anne's-Belfield AND
2.) Bishop Sullivan DEFEATS Norfolk Academy
Isle of Wight clinches the #3 seed IF:
1.) Fuqua DEFEATS OR TIES Broadwater AND
2.) Trinity Episcopal DEFEATS OR TIES Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot AND
3.) Roanoke Catholic DEFEATS OR TIES Kenston Forest AND
4.) Norfolk Academy DEFEATS OR TIES Bishop Sullivan AND
5.) St. Anne's-Belfield DEFEATS OR TIES Blue Ridge
Isle of Wight can clinch the #4 seed IF:
1a.) Fuqua DEFEATS OR TIES Broadwater OR
1b.) Trinity Episcopal DEFEATS OR TIES Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot AND
2.) St. Anne's-Belfield DEFEATS OR TIES Blue Ridge AND
3.) Norfolk Academy DEFEATS OR TIES Bishop Sullivan AND
4.) Roanoke Catholic DEFEATS OR TIES Kenston Forest
Kenston Forest clinches the #3 seed IF:
1.) Kenston Forest DEFEATS Roanoke Catholic AND
2.) Fuqua DEFEATS OR TIES Broadwater AND
3.) Trinity Episcopal DEFEATS OR TIES Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot
Kenston Forest can clinch the #4 seed IF:
1.) Kenston Forest DEFEATS Roanoke Catholic AND
2a.) Fuqua DEFEATS OR TIES Broadwater OR
2b.) Trinity Episcopal DEFEATS OR TIES Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot
Despite being ranked 3rd going into the final week, Broadwater is in the weakest position of the top 3 contenders for the two remaining spots. If they lose to top-ranked Fuqua on the road this week, there is only one other game that could give them a point: Kenston Forest vs. 2nd-ranked Roanoke Catholic at Catholic.
In summary, Isle of Wight cannot finish behind Broadwater unless Broadwater beats Fuqua, Kenston cannot get into the playoffs without beating Roanoke Catholic, and a bad week for everybody means a good week for Isle of Wight and Broadwater.
Gaining nothing (and this is a possible outcome), Broadwater would finish at 4.11, Isle of Wight at 4.11, BSH at 4.10, and Kenston Forest at 2.89. If IWA and Broadwater were tied at 4.11, Isle of Wight would win the tie by having beaten Broadwater in Week 7. They would be the #3 seed, Broadwater would be #4, and BSH would be left out.
