In a battle of 3-0 teams, Westfield shook off a poor series in the second quarter and pulled away from West Springfield for a decisive 48-7 win.

WSP opened the game on their 28 yard line. After several plays WF's Morin intercepted WSP's Muskett at the WF 46 and returned the ball to the WSP 48 yard line. WF wasted little time, capping the 48 yard drive with an 18 yard Kim to Woodley pass to go up 7-0 (Steinhilber XP) with 8:01 to play in the first quarter. On WSP's next possession they punted, giving WF the ball on the WSP 46 yard line. WF's Kim finished this drive with a 1 yard run and WF extended their lead to 14-0 (Steinhilber XP) with 3:55 to go in the first quarter. WSP took the kickoff from the WSP 31 yard line but quickly punted. The short punt landed in the middle of a pack of players, bounced off a WF defender, and was recovered by WSP on the WSP 45 yard line. WSP then went on a 55 yard drive, converting three fourth downs, and scored on a 4th and 11 from the WF 29 yard line with a 29 yard Muskett to Caussin pass play to cut the lead to 14-7 (Todd XP) with 9:46 to play in the second quarter. WF started their next possession on their own 48 yard line after a good KO return, but then everything went wrong. After multiple penalties wiped out large gains, including a 35 yard TD pass play, WF faced a 1st and 57 deep in their own territory and ended up punting the ball back to WSP. WSP went three and out on their drive, giving WF the ball back on the WF 48 yard line. WF drove to the WSP 14 yard line, where they elected to go for a 27 yard FG that was blocked. WSP then went three and out again, giving WF the ball back with less than 2 minutes to play in the half. WF went on to execute a 64 yard drive and pushed the lead to 21-7 when Asante scored on a 8 yard run with 25 seconds left in the half.

The second half saw WF start with the ball on their own 29 yard line but they went three and out. WSP returned the favor, then WF put together a 79 yard drive that included a Kim 11 yard run for a first down on a fake punt at the WF 43 yard line, capping the drive with a 46 yard Kim to Kiley pass to extend the lead to 27-7 (Steinhilber XP missed) with 6:08 to play in the third quarter. WF's Schweiger would intercept Muskett on the WSP 25 yard line on the next WSP series, returning the ball to the WSP 13 yard line. After a 12 yard pass to the one yard line, Kim ran it in and the lead reached 34-7 (Steinhilber XP) with 5:35 to play in the third quarter. WSP then went three and out, followed by WF being stopped on a 4th and 8 at the WSP 32 on their next possession. On the next WSP possession, WSP's Muskett was sacked on 4th and 8 at the WF 42 yard line, and WF took over. WF's Asante finished off this 42 yard drive with a 28 yard run and WF was now ahead 41-7 (Steinhilber XP) with 10:46 to play in the game. WSP's Stephenson fumbled several plays into the next WSP drive and the ball was scooped up by WF's Dishun on the WSP 35 and taken in for a TD with 8:00 to play, making the score 48-7 (Steinhilber XP). With a running clock now in effect, the game ended soon after.
