Woodberry Forest held Benedictine to 217 yards in their 10-0 shutout win over the top ranked team in the latest VISAA ratings. The Tigers limited Benedictine to only 74 rushing yards on 30 carries and they intercepted two passes. Woodberry Forest improved to 5-0 while handing the Cadets their second defeat.

A 32-yard field goal by Liam Hedge, with only 10 seconds remaining before halftime, was the only scoring in the 1st half. The kick came after a 51-yard field goal attempt by Cameron Cougill fell short.

A key play in the game came on 4th down with Woodberry Forest at the Benedictine 29-yard line. The Tigers decided to punt and Hedge placed a high kick that was fair caught at the Benedictine 5-yard line by David Pilot. Woodberry Forest forced a 3-and-out and took over at the Cadets 39-yard line.

Quarterback Christian Zaytoun found Khalid Thomas for 27 yards to the Benedictine 14-yard line. Zaytoun had replaced starting quarterback Lindell Stone who left with an injury in the 1st quarter after getting tackled hard to the ground. Harold Minor finished off the final 14 yards with a 1-yard touchdown run with 4:04 left in the third quarter. Minor finished with 76 yards on 16 carries.

Benedictine had two good drives in the final quarter but both drives ended with no points. They missed a field goal after reaching the Woodberry Forest 8-yard line and Scott Bracey was intercepted after the Cadets reached the Tigers 25-yard line.
