I wonder where they filed the injunction. I wouldn't think a Fairfax Court could hear the case. This could surely cause a delay in the playoffs if the judges are forced to recuse themselves. If the Fairfax Court does hear it and rules in Hayfields favor the VHSL could simply issue forfeits on Friday thus eliminating the issue.
Personally, I find this strategy interesting. There has to be way more to this story than meets the eye. The VHSL and Fairfax Schools utilized the appeal process as designed and a decision was rendered by their peers.
Unless an egotistical idiot is in charge, (I have no clue) there is no way a member school system totally ignores it's membership agreement and jeopardizes other Fairfax County School participants. If the Courts uphold the injunction for which they have no jurisdiction to do so it will set a precedent for every player ejection, or team sanction in the state. Oh my!
