The team is always good year in year out (11-1 this season), but I rarely see any threads on here about them.

Another Saturday afternoon game and another Jordan Bass showcase. Lake Taylor pulled some dirty strings behind the scenes and got some players suspended but it didn’t matter.

The way teams celebrate scoring on Phoebus is hilarious. Refs aided Lake Taylor a lot today but it is what it is. Brentsville you are on the clock.

Who've you got?

Coaches recently gathered to select the All-Region 5A Football Teams for 2022.

Green Run senior quarterback Kevin White Jr. is the Region 5A Offensive Player of the Year. White, who has thrown for 3393 yards and 48 touchdowns compared to just three interceptions, led Green Run to wins in its first 13 games. The Beach District Offensive Player of the Year has also rushed for 1094 yards and 13 TD's as the Stallions reached the State Semis for a second consecutive year.

White's teammate, linebacker Zakai Hall, was tabbed the Region 5A Defensive Player of the Year. The senior thumper racked up 104 total tackles through the team's first 13 wins.

Brandon Williams, who directed Green Run to its second straight regional title, is the Region 5A Coach of the Year.

Coaches recently gathered to select the 2022 All-Region 4A Football Teams.

Chosen as Offensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season was Churchland quarterback Brandyn Hillman, a senior who directed the Truckers to an 8-4 mark and the regional semifinals.

During the regular season, Hillman completed 46 passes out of 82 attempts for 753 yards and 8 TD's while rushing for 1202 yards and 21 TD's on 103 attempts while also starring on defense.

Named Defensive Player of the Year was Warwick sophomore defensive back Messiah Delhomme, who dazzled in the team's 31-19 victory over King's Fork in the Region 4A Championship with over 200 yards rushing and two interceptions on defense. New to the Raiders after transferring over from Bethel in the off-season, Delhomme has eight interceptions on the year.

Warwick's Corey Hairston was named Region 4A Coach of the Year after leading the Raiders to a 9-1 regular mark followed by three straight playoff wins that resulted in the program's first regional title in 32 years.
