    No, you're right. I'm sure they love it when fans don't put forth the effort to drive 1 day a year to an away game the same distance he and most of his coaches do 6 days a week. The last time JF had a crowd that small on the visitor's side was probably Glass about 4 years ago.

    Those same kids were joking with Christmas before the game. He had no issue with it. I think it bothered him more to to see the empty seats on his side... Can't blame him, he always had a loyal and supportive fan base, even on down years and especially in the beginning of a rebuilding.

    Glass never brought a crowd. Amherst fans/parents should be excited for a new coach and at least support him. Everyone knew that was a big game for Christmas. I don't see him sticking around long there, and I don't blame him.

    Wow, way to try to stir the pot... First, JF is 4A so I don't know why this is here. Second, the kid quit. Didn't like the idea of competing for the spot with a sophomore.

    He will be tapering back on his coaching but will be involved with JF. To what extent is up to him.

    With the exception of Landis and Smith, the rest of the staff stays (including Grove). There are a couple new additions that are yet to be made public.

    Grove currently commutes to JF in around 90 seconds. Everyone knows Grove could have had the JF HC job if he wanted it. He didn't. I don't think at this point of his life he wants to spend 2 hours in a car 5-6 days a week through football season and off-season. His assistant coach salary...

    Grove is staying. Landis and Smith are going. Anyone would love to have Grove. As great of a player as he was he is even a better coach. Great motivator and the kids love him.

    Considering most of Navy's best runs were through the middle of the line, I think he had a lot of great linemen to thank as well. Add in threats of QB, FB, HB and WR and the defenses had a lot to think about... Again, not taking anything away from Navy but he had a ton of help. Those teams...

    Take away 1 season (2017 riddled with season ending injuries) and it's still a very respectable record. Take away Navy Jones completely and they are still 10+ win teams those years. There was DEEP talent on those teams.
