    There is no high school field in the central part of the state that meets the requirements. Salem will take them all over 2 days. Perfect high school stadium. :)

    Richmond or Williamsburg not even close to central part of state. The two closest stadiums to the center of the state are UVa and Liberty.

    Salem has played the following teams Richmond east in state title games: Hampton Lake Taylor 3 times Powhatan Phoebus Dinwiddie They are 4-3 (if you count Louisa not quite Richmond east they are 5-3) So just how do you figure that outrageous statement concerning real state title game???

    Salem will have a bit of a fall off. Figure 7-3 playoff team but not a State contender. Offense will be fine but defense losing all the linebackers. Probably win 1 game in playoffs but lose second. However, Salem will often suprise.

    Congratulations to Phoebus. Very good football team. Would have loved to have seen overtime but Phoebus qb and number 2 made a spectacular play. Salem played their game. They do what they do. They do not change for any team. This time, they came up just short. We'll be back.
