Monacan being the location for the meeting is part of the problem. Need to have a more centralized meeting location (or virtual) that gives western coaches (whom are also teachers) a more reasonable opportunity to attend.- SalemPride

Not so much concerned with the lack of Salem players on the lists (although Ramsey player of the year was a no brainer). Really has to do more with the lack of other eastern players representation. After learning meeting location, it's pretty obvious why the list is weighted the way it was...- SalemPride

Regardless of what's going on I just hope and pray he gets an opportunity to play on the next level if that's what he truly wants to do. You are wrong on so many levels. So are you saying the officials shouldn't have thrown flags on plays with penalties committed by Louisa? I can see how Louisa would be difficult to beat if they aren't allowed to be called for penalties... Haha Also, have you ever considered that those plays...- SalemPride

Ramsey chasing history
Some other interesting parallels from that game is Kevin Garst whom was a star guard on that team is now Salem's varsity basketball coach. Also if my memory recalls correctly, Salem's best player Mark Byington who was also a very good QB was in line to become the starter on the football team...- SalemPride

BREAKING NEWS!!!! The city of Salem has approved the budget to place a roof over Salem Stadium. I have heard from a trusted unnamed source that this is being done with the intention of bringing all 6 divisional VHSL state championships to a single location. Problem solved!
