    Man in 05 the Dogwood was absolutely LOADED. Gretna’s winning streak ruined by Chatham in the playoffs and what does William Campbell do? Wins State in 1A. Dogwood football in its hey day were must see games every week.

    Buckingham’s defense gave up 9 points per game this year….and they got 3 all region selections on D if you don’t count punter. Don’t overreact. Yes, Riverheads won what is probably the deepest region in 2A, but it is just that, a very deep region littered with a lot of deserving players.

    You’re good fairlawncat! Sometimes info gets around, but no DeLoach was actually an assistant at Altavista from 2018-2021 and the DC the last two years. Coach Miller, at Gretna was a Gretna player turned coach for Coach Simpson while at Gretna.

    Cumberland info ?

    They are 0-10. One of the better cumberland teams in recent years though. Region 1B has 8 schools that play 11 man football and it’s an 8 team playoff. Rappahonnock County plays 8 man ball so that drops the region to just 8 teams.
