Gideon Davidson, RB/S/PR Liberty Christian, committed to Clemson. In big games he doesn't leave the field very often. Very effective in all 3 phases of the game.- mike salem

As far as Salem goes, we'll find out a lot about them in their 1st game at LCA. The Bulldogs will be favored and are an early frontrunner for C3 again this year. Salem will have their hands full trying to contain Gideon, but I'm excited to see Josiah Persinger as the featured back. He's a step...- mike salem

Can't do RCC on Fri night, Railyard Dawgs hockey game. I'd like to see Roanoke College or SCC, but they have more demand for their facilities. My guess is they would use a gym at one of the other county or city HS gyms-HV, CS, WB, Glenvar, WF, or PH.- mike salem

I haven't seen as much basketball this year as last, but I've seen Northside and Tunstall. Northside with Hardy and Harvey will be a tough out. If they get hot they'll take over a game. They are well coached and are good at pressing... BUT, Tunstall has good size and if they can beat the press...- mike salem
