Rivalries

WOW Kettle Run Region C!

Not HS Football, but I gotta vent!!!
As I understand it, the rule exists to prevent teams from jumping up to FBS when they know they have a generational team and then immediately dropping back to FCS. It's supposed to be a "50-year decision" or something along those lines. I don't agree with it, but that's at least that's what I've...- Shruikan

Region 4C
Both looked like solid football teams all around, but I wouldn't say either of them is on the level of the Broad Run and Briar Woods teams that made state runs. I would be surprised if either won in the semifinals unless the other regions are down too.- Shruikan

shocker going down in Leesburg
Millbrook has a Jekyll and Hyde team this year. They struggled against a bad James Wood team, lost to a terrible Potomac Falls team, and got blown out by Sherando, but they've also run Liberty out of the building, shut out Handley, and now beat Tuscarora. Sherando 8 Loudoun Valley 0 3:42 1st
Great stop on the goal line for the Warriors. Valley had four downs on the 2-yard line and came out with nothing. (Though they really shouldn’t have gotten there in the first place… Warriors have bailed out their O on several occasions so far.) Still, stopped em’ when it counted. 22-8 halftime.- Shruikan

Sheeeeerando 47 Fauquier 16 Half
Not the best start to the first quarter, but they really blew it open once everything started clicking. Warriors will be quite good next year. Region C is wide open. I’d still be surprised if the winner goes much further though.- Shruikan

Martinsburg vs. Sherando
Martinsburg is considerably better than Sherando this year, so if the Bulldogs play well I don't expect it to be close. The weather conditions may favor Sherando given how much of a mudbath Arrowhead Stadium is likely to be tomorrow, but it shouldn't slow down MHS. All that said, Martinsburg...- Shruikan

How good is Sherando?
I haven't seen all that much of them lately due to Covid, but from what I've seen they should be around the same level as they've been in recent years, i.e. good enough to compete in the Winchester/Panhandle region but unlikely to hang with the Broad Runs and Tuscaroras of the state.
