    QBs in the central region

Forgot all about Landen Abernathy at Manchester. He was a rising stud under Coach Tom Hall at Manchester and I expect that trajectory to continue but worth keeping an eye on with new HC and offensive coordinator.

    QBs in the central region

Interestingly enough Chase has a brother... Sam who will be in the mix to be starter at Mills Godwin this season. Luke Roberts and I've been told he might be better than Chase.

    QBs in the central region

Keep in mind Johnson's father is on coaching staff at Huguenot so I'm sure that played a part in him going to Huguenot. Early in the offseason I was told he was going to Matoaca which I IMO would have been better for him but we shall see. Ethan Medley at Thomas Dale is not to be taken...

    Skyhawk Schedule Set

Keep your eye on the Skyhawks in 5C this year... new QB (former Huguenot/Manchester) Jason Wright, new RB (former Manchester) Corey Holland and a new HC in Matt Bland.

Head Football Coach at Prince George!

Well we've heard for years about the talent that is over that way, just never had the right coach. There is no question how good Coach Hall is so he will get the best out of the talent in that area. I do think, however, that this year people should not expect too much.

The 804 is LOADED (4B offer thread)

It will be interesting to see how Manchester and Glen Allen do given the coaching changes. If I had to rank right now I would go... Highland Springs Varina Huguenot Matoaca Dinwiddie Manchester Glen Allen Thomas Dale Hermitage Powhatan With eyes on Douglas Freeman, Mills Godwin, Henrico...

The 804 is LOADED (4B offer thread)

It's bonkers the number of offers rolling into the 804 but so great to see.

Richmond HSA has released FB coach.

They are playing where they are assigned by the VHSL... Class 4. Previously they were Class 3. The problem isn't class or district, it's the schedule. Other teams are going outside their schedule and so too should the Bulldogs.

Richmond HSA has released FB coach.

I don't think changing a district is warranted but a change in schedule surely is. Armstrong remains in the Capital but plays other schools outside their district. John Marshall remains in the Colonial but has modified their schedule to play teams similar in size and the same can be said for TJ.

Richmond HSA has released FB coach.

That is odd that he got fired from both but I can understand the coaching thing. When you got Huguenot, Armstrong and TJ having the seasons they had and you cannot even win one game, the pressure gets turned up. Hart had been there since 2019 without much to show for. Of course we all know...

    Well…, It’s next year already!

Dinwiddie-Varina would be great but I do think Huguenot might have something to say about that next year.
  15. CRF4Dan

    Well…, It’s next year already!

Hanover loses quite a bit on defense and a stud that goes both ways in Peyton Seelmann. I'm a little higher on Powhatan although they would be down below Huguenot, Varina and Dinwiddie in my book. Atlee won't make a splash till a) another coach comes in or b) they can convince some of the...

    Congrats Freedom!

Only part of this I can agree with is that Overton was running over, around and through the defense. Cannot argue that point. Freedom was the better team, they made the plays when it mattered most. What I will argue is this game was never in doubt. Short fields, penalties... that's all part...

    Class 6 Championship

Ask and ye' shall receive... 2017 would be the last time Hermitage and Varina got beat by the same team in the same year. The team? Hermitage... Panthers beat Highland Springs 14-9 in their season opener but the Springers avenged that loss in the region finals 24-14. The Panthers beat Varina...

    Congrats Freedom!

IMO it comes down to Freedom got up early... Coach Loren Johnson said it best in post-game presser on their early struggles "we didn't execute". Springers fought to get back in this game and the intensity between both teams never wavered.
