They are running basically the same O, but have added a few more running plays. The other thing they will try doing is stretching the field with more downfield throws. Johnston is really good and can make all of the throws if they can keep him upright. That’s the BIG question.
You are correct about both the Oline and Dline. They will have a dominant QB and some very good skill players. Hoping the kids are in the weight room developing, if not it could get really interesting in the trenches.
So you saw all of those teams and came to the conclusion that they would all beat Bburg??? Even though you never saw Bburg play. This just shows what cb2018 was saying that people perceived they weren’t good because they weren’t a traditional power.
Caught them at a bad time? Really? Wasn’t aware they had a bad time, they only lost one other game. Bburg was very physical and had the most team speed in 4A. Salem beats all of us because they are coached exceptionally well.
Ask the Salem kids who was the best team they played this year. I have heard from numerous kids and parents that it was Bburg. No way to know for sure, but I personally think the two best teams in 4A resided in the River Ridge this season.
The kids made that O successful way more than the O made the kids successful. Three of the starting lineman received scholarships, the tailback also received one. There are at least 2, but possibly 3 juniors who will be highly recruited from the O as well next year. As much as I would like to...
Salem’s advantage is 100% coaching. Mags is a great one, you cannot argue with his results. Salem has talent for sure, but they are rarely the most talented team when the playoffs start. This guy sees things and makes the necessary adjustments. A perfect example would be the 2 Bburg games. My...
Thanks for the kind words. I know people had doubts about them at the beginning of the season, but I think they earned some respect. It truly was and is a couple special classes coming through the school. There are 6 or 7 seniors that have offers at the moment, and you will have 3 maybe 4 next...
Showboat? The kid is the farthest thing from that. He never flaunts or talks, not sure why you would call him arrogant. He is a classy kid who does things the right way.
Believe it or not, he he only has one D1 offer from Saint Francis. He does have 3 or 4 D2 offers. I preach it all of the time, but our area is very under recruited. I agree with you that he is a D1 player.
Good question. I’m not exactly sure, but we are losing a bunch of impact players. The starting seniors are Beck, Driscoll, Orndorff, VanGilder, Roberson, Elliott, Ramsey, and Wise. The big void will be in the trenches, where we will lose 4 starters.
It’s all good. I have much respect for Glass, they were by far the best defensive team we played this year. Besides the stub lb, I was also very much impressed with your QB.
