    Region 6B VHSL Ratings - Oct. 24th

I understand thats the way the VHSL points system works, I was just lamenting there has to be a better way. Whether combining regions or just saying four or six teams make it. Just seems really silly to have 1-9 or 2-8 teams in for what will amount to a complete and total blowout 99% of the time

    Region 6B VHSL Ratings - Oct. 24th

First thought.......why is a 1 or 2 win team going to be in the playoffs. Especially when it could be a rematch of a game Manchester won either 75-0 or 79-0 earlier this year. Has to be a better way........

That’s a tough way to go down, feel bad for the kicker

Hermitage v Highland Springs "The Rematch!"

Tough one today Big Tate....just saw the score. What was the story of the game, Stone Bridge not play well or was Tuscarora just the better team today?

    (6) Courtland 6-4 @ (3) Louisa 10-0

Being a Courtland fan, I’d love to hope that the cougars and Coach Hall have enough to beat Louisa. I do think it will be a better game than the first go around, but the Lions should prevail by at least 2 TDs. My goodness though....second round full of 11-0 teams is a real likelihood. Some...

    Louisa vs C'ville

They will beat Caroline and Spotsy in their last two games....

    Louisa vs C'ville

Courtland has improved a heckuva lot from the first 4 games of the season. Coach Hall has made some tweaks and moves on offense and the schedule has gotten much more manageable. Courtland finishing 6-4 shouldn't shock anyone, they've done it before (2010). I'm not sure that this year's team...

My top ten after week 8

5D seems to be a crapshoot in terms of seedings at the moment, still believe North Stafford is the best team in that region and will prove it come playoff time

My top ten after week 8

Agreed 100%, Brooke Point played a great game defensively according to paper. This type of effort wont come close to Forge, will be interested to see how North bounces back this week with Riverbend. The road in 5D may run through Brooke Point after this weekend, great year for the Black Hawks.

My top ten after week 8

Ponax played a perfect game and it seems at times that North loses interest or focus at times and drops games to inferior teams. It happened this week too vs. Brooke Point, went down 24-21.

BATTLEFIELD DISTRICT RANKINGS AFTER WEEK 9

Skynard summed it up pretty well, Coach Hall made a few changes in the backfield too. Cougars look good going forward, 6-4 from an 0-4 start. We'll see how it shakes out and who they play in the first round of the playoffs. Hope Eastern View can get passed the second round, will be tough this year.

My top ten after week 8

Massaponax is not the Massaponax Of the last few years. Lots of young guys (Freahmen) starting on both sides of ball. Played perfectly, and got every break first time they played North Stafford. No one in 5D is going to come close to North Stafford, easiest path to state semi-final to me.

    Top ten after week 7

Dinwiddie definite favorite in 4B. EV and Louisa could make it tough for the Generals, but I think ultimately Dinwiddie comes out of 4B

Battlefield District rankings after week 7

Eastern View is far and away better than anyone in the battlefield. They have the tools and coaching to make a deep playoff run. Courtland played their best game of the year and handled KG. JC has the Cougars focused and ready to roar to 6-4. The backs played well, the OLine played well, the...

    Eastern View 63 Chancellor 7

That's what I was saying in the other thread. I don't consider Chancellor a young team. If they are inexperienced it is in the system the new coaches are running, and you hope that improves with experience. The frustrating thing for my Cougars this year is that we have veteran coaches and a...

    JM 43 Chancellor 7

The roster isn't so young that they should be blown out in the first half every week. This Friday will be my first chance to see Chancellor this year, so I'm going to withhold any judgement until I see with my own eyes, but being a young team doesn't seem like all there is to it

    The Battlefield for 15 September

James Monroe and Courtland may find a way to get into the playoffs, it may be quick exits this year however. Serbay and Hall are great coaches and will find a way to improve their programs this year and in future year I'm sure. Hatfield has EV rolling this past few years and that looks like it...

Ok, let me be the first.....!

Speaking from whom I've seen and who returns and such Courtland: They lose A LOT, a whole bunch of seniors graduating, but they are a solid program and will have a solid team. They will make the playoffs, probably win a game too. King George: They should be about the same if not a little bit...

    Courtland @ Lake Taylor

47-33 Final, Courtland fought in second half, play calling was not very good for Courtland in a game at this level.......
