1A points

When it's this close, one upset loss by a defeated team can swing it either way. Same if a defeated team gets an unexpected win. Amazing that you can play all season, and still have it this close. I love it.

Rappahannock is on the Bubble at #8 with games against #6 Northumberland and #1 Essex to go. I wonder if the teams behind them can catch them?

I wonder if VHSL made a mistake on their website for1A region C, I thought Narrows had 20.2 something last week and now it has them at 20.12500. Can some clarify? Or did I look at last week wrong?

Playing Craig County brings it down. To me Galax will be #1 seed and should be. Narrows played one team and that was GIles.

If Riverheads wins out I think will still be number 1 seed through out if they lose and William Campbell wins out I think will be number 1 seed through out

If Rapp doesnt win a game they will likely tie with Franklin or get beat out. I think the tie breaker would go to Franklin.
W&L (imo) will end up in the 7th or 6th slot.
CB may have a shot at catching WP for 3rd.

Looks to me from some rough math that the only spot up for grabs is the 8 spot.
Rappahannock controls their destiny and with an upset win in either game would lock in.
I don't think Franklin can catch rapp without an upset win over Southampton. If both lose out rapp out points them.
Surry needs to win against Brunswick to get in. If they lose both of their last two they cant catch rapp. This is probably the best chance of rapp getting bumped.
Northampton can probably catch Rappahannock with a win in either of their last two against lower tier 2a teams.

None of this is in stone. Just some rough math on my part

It boils down to the Mathews v Charles City Game & Nandua v Northampton.
Rapp needs Mathews & Nandua to Win
Franklin needs a Charles City Win
Northampton needs a win vs Nandua or Arcadia

What if W&L slides to 6th and Beach grabs 3rd( I don’t do math on the Power points) does that mean they might play back to back weeks at both places? Cause if so, that would be interesting.

That's correct as the #3 seed hosts the #6 seed. Gotta wait to see how things play out.

Similar scenario if Essex remains #1 seed (I think Sussex will regain) and Rapp remains in #8, those two teams would play back to back weeks at opposite fields. I think Essex will end up hosting Middlesex though
