Excellent preview and some crazy Thornhill stats...
great write up (not just for your prediction ha but I hope that it's right - others picking Altavista)
Altavista star QB Mr. Multidimensional - Juan Thornhill this season alone - rushed for 1,477 yards and 32 TDs and passed for 1,196 yards and 14 more TDs with 0 interceptions! credit Rapp Times.
He also QBs the D as well and hauled in 3 picks out of 5 last week vs Honaker. One of their other big time players is Meche Maulbeck in the secondary plus he stars in the offense with Thornhill.
Essex also has a fantastic group of DBs (who also had 5 picks last week) who many star in both phases of the game as well. Of course, everyone knows about Sterling Hammond's great contributions but Essex also has a rising star with the initials of MM (Martin). Also, we all know about QB Broaddus and his past records.
Both teams have so many weapons. Who has the most? Gonna be tough to contain them all? Will an relatively unknown player (s) step up and be the hero?
The O and D lines may be the ones that decide this big game....
Special teams may end up being a big key factor in this one as well. HR6 brought that up a bit ago (they seem to get forgotten sometimes). AltaVista has a great FG kicker in Allen I hear. HR6 - this really should be a great match up (should be very entertaining for all spectators). Coaching will be a challenge to both sides - what a chess match loaded with weapons....
