Parry McCluer is in the Eastern bracket. Unless they moved them to the West this year. I know Essex played them in 2013 and W&L played them last year in the Eastern Bracket.

I haven't had chance to double check these numbers, Elliot at angelfire will probably start his cheat sheets in another 2 weeks

Ok...Didn't know that. Thanks.

It was fun while it lasted. Got to play a lot of schools we had never faced before. And it was/is a pleasure chatting with so many folks from out East on the boards here.

Now off to try our luck in the West!

Would not be shocked to see Essex back in Salem again this year. Best of luck the rest of the way to your Trojans!

Bland , Northwood, Auburn likely to have at least 2 more losses. Honaker, Wythe, Radford probably win out. Burton probable has one more loss. PM has its last test this week with JR. Bottom line is the west rankings will undergo a pretty big transformation in the coming weeks.

I'd still like to see a map with where the line is... wasn't it beyond Blacksburg a couple years ago? (east/west)

Mmqp... I feel the same way. I got to see 11 teams and fans that I've never seen before due to the 16 team playoffs. Good luck to PM out West. By the way...mmqp and G Master Blaster W, sorry for that smack down my STEELERS put on your 49ers :)

Haha! No problem. Maybe we can send you guys our kicker :p Joking, joking. Steelers are flying under the radar right now in my opinion. Great place to be.

San Fran on the otherhand is a complete mess. And I think we all knew that was going to be the case coming into the season. The win over the Vikes gave a little false hope, until Pittsburgh beat the tar out of us. My thing is, WHY did we not try to improve our offensive line in the offseason?? We knew what we have with Kaep at this point and yet we didnt bother to try to improve a line that was atrocious at best last season! Instead, now teams just have a free run at an already shaky QB.

Speaking of Kaepernick, yea he's bad. But teams like SF and Washington with RGIII need to understand: If you're going to draft that style of QB, you damn well better build your offensive philosophy around their abilities! You cannot make them something they are not..and why neither team can comprehend that is beyond me. I know the fear is they'll get injured. But, what does it matter? Once you've taken them away from their true skills and tried to make them dropback QB's, you've lost them for good anyway.

And if SF wanted a dropback QB to begin with they may as well have kept Alex Smith and DEVELOPED Scott Tolzien while he was here.

Haha Boo this man it might be a long season for our 49ers but all the pieces are there. And the Steelers can cause trouble for a lot of teams this season. Very well said mmqp

I wouldn't be so quick to say Radford wins out the still have Giles and Glenvar now I do think they beat Glenvar but not Giles and they also have Auburn but I think that is a win for Radford.

I cant help but think we missed out on Tolzien. I cussed Harbaugh and Baalke for letting him go.

How we dont keep him and yet pick up, first McCoy, and then "you're-so-Blaine" Gabbert is beyond me. No way were those two jokers upgrades over an unproven Tolzien.

I completely agree with you that he has the tools, but it's hard to teach all that stuff once he gets to the pro level. Especially behind a paper mache offensive line like we currently have. Raw talent alone got him through a few years but now he's hit a brick wall it seems.

Oddly enough, out of all the offenses that seem to translate to success in the NFL coming out of college...the old-fashioned under-center option seems to work best. Look back at the history of the great QB's in the NFL and see what their college offense was. It's really fascinating. I guess those quick decisions that the old option forces the QB to make translates well. You'd think a Zone Read would have the same effect, but so far it really has not.

Yes your right, I did not mean to include Radford in the win out comment. If they were to beat Giles or Glenvar it would greatly change my feelings toward an all east final

I'll hold my opinion on Radford until after Parry McCluer plays James River next week. I was very surprised to see that the Knights knocked off the Bobcats a couple of weeks back and then to see that Radford struggled with Fort Chiswell in the first half of that game a few weeks back as well. Seemed like the Bobcats did get back on track vs. Floyd the other night though.

Yeah if they beat Giles then it might just get ugly ill say but I just don't think Glenvar will beat Radford we will know a lot more about them and Giles Saturday night when they play.

mmqp, completely agree my man.

The NFL is a QB league - The best ones (by far) have high intelligence combined with an excellent work ethic (and some obvious athletic skills)

Top QBs (some may be the best ever, depending on the times)

Aaron Rogers, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Andrew Luck, Russell Wilson

Compare to RGIII, Vince Young (college stars) and Colin Kaepernick and many others.

Seems like a fairly easy concept to comprehend. Yet, just look this past year between rookies Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariotta. Who would you bet will have the longest and most successful career (plus have the most playoff wins).

Yet, Winston went 1st.

I guess that some team's experts are maybe just a tad smarter than other team's experts lol.

LOL ever notice how teams that go for players like Jamarvelous Russell, Johnny Manziel, Vince Young and Jameis Winston end up in last place in the league real quick?

I wonder why.

I dont get why teams are sold on the glitz that these guys bring from college when their work ethic (or lack thereof), and off field issues, should be what matter most. And I think those two negatives DO matter the most to the majority of teams. But whatever it is, jersey sales or whatever, there's always that one stupid team that goes for those types...and gets burned. Bad.
