Brookville has to be the favorite followed by 2. Heritage with Glass and LCA battling for 3rd.

I love the Seminole District. It's where I grew to love HS football. That being said I've been away so long I don't have the scoop. I'll be interested to hear the insider's take on the district this year. This is the way the district went last year:

Seminole
Football (2019)
Virginia

Team

Heritage

12-2 (7-0)

Glass

11-2 (6-1)

Liberty Christian

7-4 (5-2)

Jefferson Forest

6-5 (4-3)

Brookville

4-7 (3-4)

Amherst County

2-9 (2-5)

Rustburg

3-7 (1-6)

Liberty

1-9 (0-7)

This is how I think they'll end up this year:

I think Heritage is at the point where next man up is second nature. They have a lot of talented players, depth, and good coaching.

I think Brookville will be improved. They always seem to have a pretty good defensive line and defense wins games.

I like what Coach Woody has brought to EC Glass. They have more talent than most teams and I think the success of the coaches brings those guys out to the football field. Glass fell on hard times between Henson and Woody. It's good to see them back. That being said, it will be difficult to match the last couple of years with the losses to graduation.

I think LCA has the most experienced coaching staff top to bottom in the Seminole. They finished 3rd in the district last year and I expect they'll fight it out with Brookville and Glass for spots 2-4.

I think Amherst will improve, but not enough to finish in the upper half of the district.

I think Rustburg will be better this year.

I see Jefferson Forest finishing in the lower half of the district.

Liberty has difficulty with numbers and depth. (as well as Rustburg) In a district as good as the Seminole this is a big disadvantage.

I still think that to be the man, you've go the beat the man

Heritage - Lots of talent and a great coaching staff. If they can grow up, they'll still be the top dawgs. Hoping Burns takes a big step, and Deuce Crawford should put on a show. Heritage will have a good defense, and will win games for them.

Brookville - Their defense is really good, line play is good. Got some transfers too. They have a young team, but those young guys got some experience at the end of the year and almost upset Glass. They look like they should make a big jump back in the top of the District.

LCA - Nice junior class, good looking skill players, Coaching staff. Transfers. LCA will be in the mix at the top.

Glass - Graduated a lot. Lots of athletes, and agood coaching staff. Games will be closer.

Rustburg
JF
Liberty
Amherst

Biggest riser - Brookville
Biggest Faller - JF

Hard to tell right now what its going to look like. Teams like JF, Rustburg, Glass, Heritage had loaded 2020 classes. Heritage not so much, but the players in that class were huge contributors. There will be a lot of new faces in the Seminole this year. Young quarterbacks, running backs, defensive players. It will be a good year for sure.

I want to say Heritage is 1, then Glass Brookville and LCA fighting for that 2 spot.
