I know I originally said we would do this contest for 6C & 6D and 5C & 5D. Well, I was not thinking at the time. NOVA is better encompassed by 6B, 6C, 6D and 5D so that is where these games are taken from.

Apologies on the CF vs BF mistake. I saw it as POT vs BF somewhere. It is corrected above (and the spread changed also).

High seed favored by average of 17.25 points. Too many teams making the playoffs or just not a lot of parity this year?

Well, the four #8 seeds (in my contest) are 4-6, 5-5, 5-5, and 7-3. Independence is the 7-3, who played a much weaker schedule and is going against one of the top 2-3 teams in the state, regardless of classification, Stone Bridge.

Despite that high average, IMO there are no great teams in D6 in the Northern Region. The best 2-3 D6 teams in the state are probably all in Regions A & B but I have not seen any of them play so maybe I am wrong. There are maybe 4-5 teams in Regions C & D that are very good, but even then they almost all have flaws that are probably going to cost them at some point. Let's face it, overall the top tier teams are just not as good as they were 10-20 years ago, not even as good as 5 years ago. Then when you add in that some of the lower tier teams are just awful, and mid tier teams are struggling to win big, huge first round playoff spreads are what you get. I guess that long winded answer means yes-not a lot of parity. The best suffered some, but the lower tier teams are just getting decimated for a host of reasons, some discussed on here before.
