Asaad Brown has almost 20 FBS offers, with some big-time schools being in the mix for the Oscar Smith defensive back, but one of the first unofficial visits he will be taking will be a trip with the Old Dominion Monarchs and Ricky Rahne. His visit is scheduled for tomorrow, June 8th.
Brown, who starred at Portsmouth Christian last fall, hasn't yet played a down at Smith, but will this fall. One of the biggest names in the 2024 class in the state, Brown is just as talented at wide receiver, though will be focusing on defensive back going forward and is trained by Oscar Smith DB coach Eddie Burk Jr., who played College Football at Ball State.
"I hope to get familiar with the staff and learn how they want to use me in their system," Brown said.
Brown also noted that ODU is in his Top Ten schools currently.
If the Monarchs land a commitment from Brown down the road, it would be quite noteworthy as he also claims offers from Florida State, West Virginia, Jackson State, Charlotte, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Marshall, Louisiana-Monroe, Nebraska, Maryland, Michigan, South Carolina, UNC, Pitt, Penn State, Texas A&M, Tennessee, UVA, Virginia Tech, and Ole Miss.
