Fredericksburg Christian Schedule Maxpreps

Fredericksburg Christian has three straight winning seasons including a playoff game in all three years. The Eagles have 21 wins during that time span. Last year, they opened the season with a 5-0 record but finished with a 6-4 record including a playoff loss to Blue Ridge. Another fast start is expected in 2024 so how they finish will determine if their playoff streak continues.

Offense

Fredericksburg Christian returns five 1st Team VISAA DII All State selections and their speed at the skill positions will be a strength.

The running game is in good hands with 1st team All-State performer Christian Ray (5-foot-9, 170) back for his senior year. Ray gained 1005 yards on 151 carries with eight touchdowns. Senior Tim Esunge (5-foot-11,187) added 330 yards on 64 carries with four scores.

Fredericksburg Christian will be starting a new quarterback after the graduation of 4-year starter Drake Morris. Sophomore Eli Stimmell and sophomore Tripp Blalock will be competing for the starting role. Tripp was the backup last season.

Tight end Camden Scott (6-foot-0, 205) is the leading returning pass catcher with 24 receptions for 286 yards and three scores. Scott has offers from Culver-Stockton College and Hampton-Sydney Senior Bishop Heard-Samuels had 18 catches for 225 yards and four touchdowns. DeArmas said junior transfer Ja’Den McKoy (6-foot-0, 170) will have an immediate impact on offense and the return game

The key to the offense may be how quickly the offensive line gels. Center Xavier Brown (6-foot-1, 245) will have to anchor a brand-new offensive line.

"We will be young on the offensive line," DeArmas said. "If they step up, we have the ability to score quickly due to the speed at the skill positions."

Senior Xavier Brown (6-foot-1, 245) returns at nose guard but Fredericksburg Christian will need to find a starting caliber defensive end.
