Madison County Schedule Maxpreps

Madison County started the season 5-3 and made the playoffs but lost in the 1st round to Riverheads. They return several All-District prospects as they make a run at back-to-back playoff selections.

Offense

The Mountaineers should have a good mix of run and pass. Helmick says the offense should have experience at the skill positions but they will have a new offensive line.

Junior quarterback Aaron Fincham (6-foot-0, 180) was 2nd team All-Region 2B as a sophomore. Receiver Aiden Foster made 2nd team All-Region. Senior William Dickey is a baseball star and was selected Bull Run District Player of the year. He returns to start at the other receiver spot.

Senior running back Jeremiah Brown (5-foot-9, 166) was All-District after collecting 923 rushing yards and 10 total touchdowns. He has an offer from Hampton Sydney. Senior lineman Ryan Neal (6-foot-2, 260) has a ton on D2 & D3 offers. He is returning after playing at Woodberry Forest last season.

Defense

Helmick says the defense is young but will be athletic, fast and disciplined.

Junior Aiden Foster made 1st team All Region at defensive back after recording 44 tackles and three interceptions with 11 pass breakups. Two senior linebackers return in Wyatt Tompkins (5-foot-9, 168) and Paul Hutcherson (5-foot-10, 171). Ryan Neal will plug the middle of the defensive front.
