2A play offs

Assuming Gate City has the season everyone is predicting for them - that will be nice having "home court" in the quarters/semis (if that's how things work out).

If I'm not mistaken, I think the VHSL has changed their mind again. No supersites this year.

1/4 finals and semis should be in a more centralized location. I went out to Wise 2 years ago and I didn't like it. I doubt I go back out there. We have a bunch of geniuses running the VHSL. I think it's ridiculous having a team cross an entire state to play a game and even more asinine to have a team do it twice in less than a week!!!!

Let's investigate JJK's rumor. I have very much enjoyed the games at JMU the last few years and was hoping they would continue that trend.

Well the VHSL site has recently put this up, so JJK may be right:

Quarterfinals March 2 & 3 at higher seed sites
Semifinals March 5 & 6 at higher seed sites
Finals March 8 through 10 at VCU Siegel Center

Why did you not like Wise? It's got to be one of the better D2 arenas in the country. Was it the curvy roads? If so, I will grant you that.

Yes, it was the ride that I didn't care much for. The gym was beautiful. I had no problem with the facilities.

Yeah, Tacoma Mountain Road, the road leading up to the college from Coeburn is an adventure for sure. I know that road like the back of my hand now though, so I drive it like a rallycross driver most of the time. :D

That road used to be closed during the winter months back when I was in college 20+ years ago because the state didn't want to keep it maintained back then.

Ant, I made that drive for 8 years going to baseball games at the college. Really not a bad drive once you get used to it. Ah, Tacoma Mt Road, used it many times. Sometimes used to get off in Coeburn and go up Coeburn Mt Road when I had time, another fun trip. Wise has beautiful facilities and Will be a good host.

Coeburn Mountain Road is the less curvier of the two roads, but it's the longer of the two options coming from that direction. If you use a GPS, it will tell you to take Coeburn Mountain, though I am not sure exactly why.
