It's your rankings, so feel free to do whatever you like with them, I dont care if the worst team in 1a in state wins the championship. But since you brought in the college rankings I have to ask, after 1 full week of games, do you really think that the top 1/2 of rankings is going to be 1-0 and bottom 1/2 0-1? So say there is 140 teams, even with the QB injury at Florida State that they will be ranked 71?

One loss in college will cost you the whole season if your name does not keep you in it. In high school you can go 2-8 and still may have the chance to go to Salem.

My opinion would be that my poll very accurately represents how these 25 teams played during their first two games of the season.

Maybe GW will perform better on the field, but they are not playing or being coached very well at this point. I went to both games and their ranking fits their play 100%....

I don't root for any 1a school, so it doesn't bother me who's ranked where. I also could have misread, I thought you have written top whatever number teams are the undefeated teams, that was my entire point. Of course the best teams in college are with a 0, but I would bet FSU doesn't fall real far, perhaps more than they would have without the qb getting injured.

I will use my area to what I am trying to say. If i read it correctly and the top 10 were the undefeated teams, and that is why they were top 10 only, then if Stuarts Draft beats Riverheads then they would fall to 10 if the others won. Like I said I could have read it wrong and if I did I apologize. That's why I commented. And even if you had all the top teams at bottom it's fine with me, and your poll so you can do whatever you want

your opinion represents accurately how the teams played, which in no way correlates to which team should be ranked where. You should retitle your post.

What team is it that bothers you, ,i have a couple of them wrong because of lack of info. at the time. but not GW and Charles City. Those kids at CC deserve it.

Don't sweat it, I wanted to know your process and you explained it. It is YOUR ranking and YOUR opinion. Some people think if someone doesn't agree with them they are wrong. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Who's to say you aren't right and the other wrong.

I don't particularly think early polls are a good thing, as they do change and give some a false sense of what a team is. Just look at college polls to begin and end. So yes it will change, but at moment I wouldn't call any junk because of what will happen later

I agree with our ranking in his system. It reflects our current play. And the undefeated teams should be above us. I don't think the FC will be as bad as it looks later in the season. And I do think GW will just fine and would beat 90% of the top 10 given the chance. But we are playing like $*!+ right now and should be low in any poll imo. But imo we will be right there like always come Nov. And let's not forget FC beat Galax last year in some horrible conditions. That's not me saying they beat us because of the rain cause they didn't they beat us because on that night they were the better team. But GW needs 1 loss early to wake up I've said it for years. 2012 Floyd, 2015 Radford and 2016 Galax all of those years people said oh GW is done because they fell early but it worked out for us after those losses. Hell in 2015 Galax went 6-4 and won it all last year BB was 5-5 and won it all. I'm not worried at all about 1 loss to imo a good FC team. We are young and will improve like always. When Raddy hung 55 on us everyone said GW is done they lost ans looked horrible. And that was week 1 and we got wrote off but we rolled everything from then on. Not saying we will roll but we will be ok.

The Maroons next two games are big. Both Marion and Chilhowie feel they have pretty good teams this year. These schools want nothing more than to beat GW, this you can believe because the Maroons own these guys, year in year out. 24 times they have met with GW only losing 3 of those meeting. George Wythe will be odds on favorites for both games +10, but if someone don’t step up at home on the new field they could very easily lose both.

In the first two weeks 1A played 27 games against 2A teams with only 4 wins, two against Radford, one by and one by Rappahannock. The seven teams from Region B will play 47 of their 57 regaining games against 2A or better. AltaVista and William Campbell may have the toughest regaining schedules.
