VHSL Announces 2015 3A All-State Baseball Team
Loudoun Valley’s Jack DeGroat selected 3A Player of the Year and Lafayette’s Rick Schenk named 3A Coach of the Year
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA —The Virginia High School League 2015 Group 3A All-State baseball team has been selected. Loudoun Valley senior pitcher Jack DeGroat and Lafayette head coach Rick Schenk were selected the 3A Player of the Year and 3A Coach of the Year. Schenk guided his Rams team to the 3A championship with a 5-4 win over Loudoun Valley in the title game. Other Group All-State teams will be announced as they are selected.
14 individuals were selected to the all-state squad, which includes -- three pitchers, one catcher, four infielders by position, four outfielders, one DH and one utility player. Only first-team all-region selections are eligible for selection to the All-State team.
