Actually the VHSL revised the ratings and Armstrong and Petersburg swapped seeds so Petersburg would be at Brentsville and Armstrong would be at Hopewell.

Ok. It appears they revised that after my original post, so I have revised it now. On a separate note, I don't think anyone will be going to Brentsville.

Gotta agree. No one will have to play at Brentsville. It seems they will make the playoffs, which is a positive for them. But the first round is most likely embarassing.

Cool part is, this will not be the final playoff meetings. It's so close among all these guys.

I'd have to say I like the pod system a little better, there might not be as many blowouts than if you went straight 1-16.

Less travel as well. Down side would be it seems a little unfair to the Conference 25 and 27 people this year, but maybe that won't always be the case.

I have Warhill as the number 8 seed right now, not Tabb.

This week would be:
25/27

1. Phoebus
8. Warhill

4. York
5. Colonial Heights

3. Park View
6. Lakeland

2. Poquoson
7. B.T. Washington

26/28

1. Hopewell
8. Spotsylvania

4.Brentsville
5. Culpeper

3. Skyline
6. Petersburg

2. James Monroe
7. Armstrong

It may be hard to believe at 2 wins but Warhill right now is playing some of the best football in the District. Giving up 3 TD in last three games with last 2 games shutouts of a good Grafton team and New Kent with the # 1 rb and a good offense. The loss to Poquoson was in 2 ot. The offense is clicking now with 2 excellent Rb's and racking up the yards. With 3 games left if they run the table they will be fun to watch in the playoffs as with a 5-5 record and not much prior history they may just catch someone sleeping a little.

Is there a reason that Warhill is playing 3 games in 8 days to finish the season.

According to the link with the Warhill Varsity football schedule they have:

Tabb on Friday October 30

Jamestown on Tuesday November 3
&
Bruton on Saturday November 7

Man, that's asking a lot of those kids. And the coaching staff. But I understand the reason why.

From the outside looking in, those three opponents shouldn't be too difficult for Warhill this particular year, under ordinary circumstances, would they? But what's the thinking with this brutal schedule?

In hindsight the Jamestown game should have been either moved to that Thursday or Monday like the other BRD teams did. Virginia is always too quick on weather delays! (My ancient playing days in NJ high school games were never canceled for weather). But even with this brutal schedule now the opponents are very beatable though Bruton at 1-7 is somewhat dangerous. But Tabb and Jamestown should be definite wins. But how beat up they may be with 3 games in 8 days could have an impact going toward.
