40 years ago this week......(and yes I'm an old fart)

Last night's game between Martinsville and Dan River - especially the low scoring and closeness - reminded of another game that I saw in person nearly 40 years ago this week.

The only difference is this game was a Regional Final where ONLY the winner advanced (unlike these days) - and that would be the only thing I would've changed back then....besides the result

Well let's just say it felt like 100 degrees in that gym @ Culpeper HS - packed like sardines in there - will never forget it!

(Fortunately no snow on the ground!)
