The 1998 Spartans had 9 shutouts in 14 games! 3 of those shutouts came in the playoffs, Only Lafayette who lost to Salem 28-18 in the final scored on the Spartans in the playoffs. The Spartans outscored their opponents that season 495 to 63. That's just crazy!
The Spartans have had a ton of championships to their credit but this 1998 squad truly sounds like a special bunch. 18 years ago they were on top and 18 years later they are again, as the best 3A/Division 3 champion.
