Only a few scores trickling in so far. Most games look to be played Thursday and Friday. Kinda cool to see soccer becoming an acceptable Friday night event in smaller schools.
George Wythe 2-1 Floyd: This was against a speedy, improved 2A Floyd team. Max Dillon Scored both goals in the first of what I will assume to be many on a solid year for the Maroons.

Fort Chiswell 2-1 PH Glade Springs: Not a marque matchup, but still a good first outing for the Pioneers. There athletes in that school, just not enough to make the plethora of spring sports viable.

Radford will not make it onto the pitch until Friday for a Cave Spring Scrimmage. So Hopefully next week will tell us a bit more on the Cats.

Galax will start a 3 away game series tomorrow against 2A Graham, 2A Giles, and 3A? Carroll. After that we will know for sure if they have kept their form.

Narrows will play host 2A Giles Friday night. I don't hold out hope for a Green Wave win, but the word is the new coach is spot on, so I hope to see things take shape as the season progresses

Rockbridge County 9 Parry McCluer 0, that was the final score for both the boys and girls game as well.

Yikes. Big scores.
George Wythe beat Patrick Henry-Glade Spring 8-3 last night. This is generally the score that occurs in this game.
Fort Chiswell lost to a very tough Floyd County team 2-1. Looks like the Pioneers may be tough to get a read on for a bit. I'm gonna keep an eye on them.
Galax tied a very solid Graham team 1-1. Happened to look at Graham's roster yesterday, and those names feel like they've been there for ages. Several talented seniors this season. I won't say Galax is down yet, I will wait to see the outcome of the next two games for them as well. I do think Radford may give them a fit this season.
Speaking of Radford they scrimmage Blacksburg tonight in this years versions of "Look down your nose at all other programs" (I try to stay neutral, but some of the elitist in these two places are getting the wake up they need as of late...not coaching staff...parents)
