Alleghany/Covington consolidation

I'm assuming they will move up to Class 2 & Region 2C (where Alleghany is already in). I guess I better get use to the Alleghany Cougars.

School Colors Selected for Alleghany Highlands Public Schools​

The Joint School Services Committee has announced the selection of the colors for Alleghany High School and Covington Middle School, upon the consolidation of the two school divisions.
Alleghany High (which will house the high school and Covington High (will become a middle school) will use the combination of Navy blue and Columbia blue. The Cougars will be the mascot for both Alleghany High School and Covington Middle School.

Those two schools combined will be a mid size to larger school in 3.

Alleghany - 700 + Covington - 280 = 980 Alleghany Cougars

Alleghany would stay in the Three Rivers District (which could be adding Patrick County in a year or so since Mecklenburg County has joined the Piedmont District)

They also would fit into Region 3D as its 13th school.
Abingdon, Bassett, Carroll Co., Cave Spring, Christiansburg, Hidden Valley, Lord Botetourt, Magna Vista, Northside, Staunton River, Tunstall, & William Byrd.
