This game was 7-0 until 4th quarter when Colonels erupted for 27 points. They could have played all night and Nelson would have never scored.

I watched first half. Lynchburg paper had it 34-0 this morning when I read it. Not know where NC got 7 points.

Thats surprising that it was only 7-0 going into the 4th.

Both teams were overly conservative. Both teams were 0-2 passing ball in first half. Both teams should have come out throwing the ball instead of runs up middle on most every play. I got bored and left at halftime.

From what I heard about the Nelson and PM game, Nelson was only able to throw dead ducks so I can only imagine how it would look in a wet game if what I was told was true.

Their first pass looked like a 20 yard punt. QB was under center all game. Not a good sign.

So the best QB they could find can throw 20 yd wounded ducks and HR wants them in shotgun, slinging it all over the place cuz that makes it better to watch???????

I heard Nelson had a pretty fast running back. But I know PM kept him bottled up all night in that game. The Blues held Nelson to negative yardage and no first downs until the backups were put in late in the 4th. I can only imagine what Altavista did to them on the defensive side of the ball.

I was under the assumption that the Governors started the season running the Single Wing and then changed to more of a traditional Spread/Zone Read style offense.

NC actually moved ball some in first half, getting a few first downs, but never threatened to score. I believe AltaVista had 9 players in the box on defense. A passing game would have opened it up a little.

Well one things for sure HR6, the QB for Nelson County couldn't be much worse than the guy that VT has starting now SMH!! Where does Beamer get some of these bums from?? Geez

VT's offense looks like a high school offense. I just saw where Baylor had 336 yards in first quarter today. 199 passing, 137 rushing (in first quarter). That's the way to play football.

I expect big numbers from a college level spread team. But when you have a guy in there who has no business playing QB at the college level it just is not going to happen. I'm amazed that THIS was Beamer's back up plan in case Brewer got hurt. What a waste of time!

Thats surprising that it was only 7-0 going into the 4th.
Actually it was 14-0 start of 4th quarter, on Altavista kickoff after touchdown returner fumbled Altavista player ran it in for TD 21-0, on the ensuing kickoff same returner fumbled again Altavista recovered then A-town offense scored a TD PAT missed 27-0, on the third kickoff returner fumbled again and again recovered by the Colonels A-town offense scored for the final time 34-0. I am not sure where someone got final score of 34-7.....
