Looks like this Amherst team has a very good chance of playing in June at Lynchburg. I read in today's Harrisonburg paper that they scrimmaged Turner Ashby last Friday and won 4-1. TA head coach Sean Hanifee said five Amherst pitcher's threw at 86 miles per hour or better that day.

Yes, we do have great pitching this year. It would be nice to be playing in Lynchburg

Amherst will may well face off with Hanover in Lynchburg. We scrimmaged Hanover Saturday. Against their three top pitchers, we hardly got a bat on the ball, let alone a hit. Their three pitchers are committed to, UVA, JMU, and NC or NCState, (not sure which school for the third one).
