It's hard to say. Glass has a better strength of schedule thus far. Amherst averages more points on offense than Glass but Glass is giving up fewer points on defense than Amherst. It could come down to special teams play.
Amherst is young and has played teams with losing records but they have played with heart as well. They lost several key players to 3 other schools which hurts. We are so proud of them for what they have done on the field. They will be tested for sure, but as long as they get off on the wrong foot and contain Glass QB, it will be interesting. I know they are fired up. I believe they can win it as long as they keep the penalties under control. I'm not going to pick against them that's for sure

I don't think it makes a difference at honestly. Most of the time the information on here is hearsay that is inaccurate anyway. Also, either he is going to play or he isn't. A fan knowing the injury report doesn't have an impact on the game at all.
If you've went to game last week you could see he was hurt then after he scored 1st TD...Also its not secret whats going on with him and what happen at practice...CVAFOOTBALLFAN knew about the injury also,no secret here
I agree. I thought Glass played great defense, but their play calling was atrocious. Quit trying to be fancy and run the ball down their throats. It’s been working.

Just curious, what do you consider making it "far" in the region? You only need to win 2 games to make it to the Region Championship. Also, which teams do you have making it "far?"
Not sticking to the run or the pass when its working. Just felt like better calls could have been made on 1st and second down. Like I said, getting in that big formation and running simple plays was working, run it until they stop it. But I'm also not a coach so I don't know whether they were trying to incorporate new plays. But the run first approach looks better than being greedy and trying to get big plays.
Amherst is much improved from the past 2-3 years. They played hard.
Gothca. That's not crazy to say considering the fact that Louisa beat Glass by 3 scores last year and Salem was region champs last year.
I think they will beat Rustburg pretty convincingly this week and I wouldn't be surprised if they beat Heritage or Brookville, maybe both. They matchup well with Heritage and Brookville and neither of them have the speed on defense that Glass does. I see Amherst finishing 6-4 at worst this year, possibly 8-2.
