Chase Anderson scattered four hits while striking out 14 Tallwood batters to help Granby defeat the Lions by a count of 3-0. Anderson recorded 14 of the 21 outs via the strikeout and he struck out the side in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Tyler Hanchey had an RBI single in the fourth and Anderson helped his own cause with a sacrifice fly for an RBI in the 5th inning. Kris Artis had a double finished with two of the Comets five hits.
Junior Grayson Lamb took the loss despite not allowing an earned run thru five innings. Lamb finished with eight strikeouts while allowing four hits and two walks. T.J Mullaly had two hits for Tallwood.
