Providing IF games will be played this spring, has anyone heard about how schools will handle the attendance of fans?

Limited seating?

Online viewing?

I know that it is going to be a play it by ear type of thing but I'm hoping to see a game soon.

Until King Ralphie makes any other proclamations, it's going to be a limit of 25 counting cheerleaders I believe. Unless there is a different rule for outdoor events.

Well we wouldn't want queen ryan getting the sniffles now would we? LOL.

Hey, they kicked me off of SWVA again. Sixcat got on there in an F-bomb tirade and I called him and the admins out on it. Haha, cursing out people? Fine and dandy. Having differing political opinions? Perma ban. SMH.

Based on EO 72, every participant gets 2 spectators for outdoor sports. question will be who is classified as spectators by the VHSL. They classified cheerleaders as spectators for indoor sports. What about marching band, etc?

EO72

13. Recreational Sports
Indoor and outdoor recreational sports activities are permitted, provided participants and organizers of recreational sports activities comply with the following requirements:

a. For sports played indoors, spectators must be limited to 25 persons per field. For sports played outdoors, spectators are limited to two guests per player. The total number of spectators cannot exceed 30 percent of the occupancy load of the certificate of occupancy for the venue.

b. Races or marathons may have up to 250 participants, provided staggered starts separate runners into groups of 25 or less. 12

c. Conduct screening of coaches, officials, staff, and players for COVID-19 symptoms prior to admission to the venue/facility.

d. Employees must wear face coverings while working in their place of employment.

e. Spectators must wear face coverings over their nose and mouth at all times.

For more information on how to reduce the risk of COVID-19 exposure and spread associated with indoor and outdoor recreational sports activities, consult the Virginia Department of Health’s “Considerations for Recreational Sports” webpage, which can be found here.

That's the state of things now. Socialism good, freedom bad. Smh. Founding fathers are spinning in their graves now.

I expected more from that board honestly. But it's the same situation there that it is here, a handful of extremely vocal "progressives" who adamantly express their views and attack those who dare to differ. And then one "conservative" who just so happens to agree with 100% of the what the progressives have to say. Regardless you dare to step on any of their toes and your minutes are numbered much like here.

There was one guy over there who kept DM'ing to whine about his wife which is why he's the butt of my jokes now.

That board is good for getting scores. II know a few folks from Bluefield because I work in Princeton, and none of them have good things to say about the guy who runs that board. Anytime you have any message board or anything else that has a bad person in charge, that will be reflected in the culture of the board or institution as a whole.

I didn't realize that he had a bad reputation. But not surprising. Seems like a little clique runs the show over there.

@Ryan4VT Speaking of the queen. I saw your little tantrum over on swva when you didn't get your way in a conversation. You even made a thread about how you were leaving. What a drama queen lol.

Didn't figure it would last too long though.

You have no idea what happened. Literally none.

Nice try, though. Hope you and your family are doing well and staying safe.

Oh, I think I do know what happened. I watched the entire thing unfold.

BTW, did the 3 guys who were "quitting" swva because I was there come back or did you just make that story up as well?

250 is the latest. Cheerleaders and band count as spectators. So subtract them from the 250. Players get 2 tickets each....so Im guessing about 50 to 100 tickets left depending on program size. Not sure how each district will sell those. Rumor is 30 percent capacity starting in March (fingers crossed).

That’s what I’ve heard as well. Hoping for the 30% in March. 🤞🏻

Unfortunately, it is still two tickets per player based on the eligibility list. That's it. Band and cheer come out of that ticket allotment if you choose to have them. It is absurd but true. Coaches don't even get tickets. I'm hoping that something will change in the coming weeks.

If you are looking to kill 30 minutes, go to the VHSL website and watch the last two weekly webinars. But I warn you, it is painful.

how will they determine who can get in is it first come first serve, after the amount that can come in with the two tickets per player, what about the visiting team,

Every school will have its own policies for its home games. Going to be confusing for families from week to week. Hopefully, the districts will agree to some uniform policy, but districts are almost nonexistent this year as everyone is scuffling to find games/opponents.
