"Now Den".....We have a rumble rouser awaitin to happen. Since my Bruins are gonzo. Guess I make the trek to Salem. To watch a battle of let's say enormous proportions. No it is not Salem and Amherst. It is Giles and Glenvar. Giles behind Salem is the ELITE team everyone tries to be. Glenvar is the new Force. Let me tell ya a very power force at that. Coach Clifford is to be congratulated on changing things up. Of course it seems they have a very good amount of dang nabbit good players. Coach Williams record at Giles is to be admired. What they have done is incredible. Plus following a legend to beat that.

This game will come down to IMO turnovers and Special teams. Note I understand #7 for Glenvar is back(I have been told #9 for Giles will play). That makes not a ounce of matter. All games have a different nature. A different feel. I think like the last few games will see a hope of moving ball on ground. Boy can both play defense against the run. Also not to be taken for granted is simply the BIG PLAY. That one play no one can tell you when or how it will come about.

When this game is over I can tell one fanbase will boast. Let us not forget though the kids that play the game are the stars. Not the fanbases. Prob a few never played the game. Let us not forget. Glenvar fans should remember this. It was Giles that made your staff desire to be great. Giles fans need to remember this Glenvar bunch is more then worthy. One team will most likely travel to Big Stone Gap next week. The other should hold it's head high and know they took the best from the other and just fell short. It happens!!!

I will not predict a score. Between the two I see know way of really knowing. Weather can be a factor. Not only Rain but the Wind!. Will it be cold? It is playoff football where excitement is the fun part. Boy I can't wait. If only the Bruins could go back there.

So I finish with this. The American Dream called up ol Natche and said "Come on Down to Salem". Natche reply was simply "WOOOOOOOOOOOO."

Well said.. It's going to be a game of epic proportions. Both teams have multiple athletes that have BIG play abilities on offense and fly to the ball on defense. It's going to be a slugfest. Argueably the best 2nd round matchup in the state as far history and rivalry is concerned. I don't think anyone wants to see it this early but hey you've got to play it so why not this week. I haven't heard whether it will be Friday or Saturday but either way I'm sure both sides of the stands will be packed and just as loud or louder than the first matchup.

As far as the game is concerned I think it will come down to the BIG plays and I can't wait to watch it. I hope both fan bases keep it clean and remember this isn't our game anymore it's the kids. We can debate it all week but in the end they get the privilege of settling it on the field. However it plays out one team moves on and the other needs to walk off with their heads held high because they've both had great seasons. I for one can not wait Til this weekend. I have an opinion on what I think the outcome will be but it means nothing so I'll keep it to myself and hope for another great game. Both teams have already earned my respect. To all the players, play with heart and sportsmanship, above all else.

I just hope both teams beat the daylights out of each other so if Union wins, Giles/Glenvar will be beat up and exhausted lol

Well said guys, can't add much to that. Two great teams with two passionate fan bases.
